Privacy Policy

HOVR respects its customers’ privacy, so we emphasize the following guidelines concerning collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.

Section One – What Do We Do with Your Information?

When you purchase something from our store, we collect personal information you give us including your name, address and email as part of the buying and selling process. We also automatically receive your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address when you peruse our store, directing us to your browser and operating system (OS).

With your permission, we may use this information to send email updates to you about our store and new products.

Section Two – How Do I Give/Withdraw Consent?

Upon giving us personal information for a transaction, you consent to us collecting and using it for the purpose of completion. This includes verifying your credit card with us, placing an order, arranging for delivery or even returning your purchase.

If ever we request your personal information for secondary reasons, such as marketing, then we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you the opportunity to say “no.”

At any time, you may withdraw consent for our continued collection, use and disclosure of your information, as well as our right to contact you. Just email us at [email protected] or send your withdrawal to Active Ideas LLC, 2641 N Clybourn Ave, Unit #2, Chicago, IL, 60614, United States.

Section Three – When Would My Information Be Disclosed?

We may disclose your personal information if required by law, or when you violate our Terms of Service.

Section Four – Where Is My Data Stored?

Your personal data goes through WooCommerce, our store’s online host and ecommerce platform, where it is kept behind a firewall on a secure server.

If you choose a direct payment gateway for your purchase, then WooCommerce also stores your credit card data. Upon completion of your transaction, the information is deleted.

Credit card data is encrypted using the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI DSS requirements ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Section Five – What About Third Parties?

In general, our third party providers will only collect, use and disclose information as necessary to perform specific services for us. However, certain providers have their own privacy policies concerning information required of us for purchases.

We strongly recommend you read their policies as a way of understanding how different providers use your personal information. Specifically, note that certain providers may be located or do business in unique jurisdictions. If you elect to proceed with a transaction involving them, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in question.

For example, the personal information of a Canadian resident may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation (including the Patriot Act) as a result of processing his/her transaction through a U.S. payment gateway.

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third party website/application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service. Remember this when viewing links on our store page.

Section Six – How Do You Protect My Information?

We follow industry best practices and take reasonable measures to ensure your personal information is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with credit card information, then it is ciphered using secure sockets layer (SSL) technology and an AES256 encryption. Additionally, we adhere to all PCI DSS requirements and implement further, generally accepted, industry standards.

Section Seven – What Is the Age of Consent?

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence and have given us consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use it as well.

Section Eight – What Changes Can Be Made to this Policy?

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently.

Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on this website. Any material changes will be stated at the top of this page.

Note that if our store is acquired by or merges with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners as a way of continuing to sell you our products.
